Hi Everyone,
I figured it was time for a new post.
We very much enjoyed our Holidays and seeing lots of family. Thanksgiving was spent with Andre’s parents John and Donna, brother Luke and Uncle Brent, Aunt Annette and Cousin Joan in Ohio. We had an absolutely wonderful time and enjoyed an early Christmas celebration with them.
We spent Christmas in New Mexico with my family. Joshua and I were able to go out early (Colton flew out to fly back with us). Andre came out to join us a little later. It was wonderful to see all my family and meet my new little nephew Caden Levi. Both sets of grandparents were able to meet Joshua for the first time along with all the aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joshua did great flying!
After we got home, we worked on getting well (we picked up some sort of bug while there) and resting. We are still working on getting on a good schedule. Joshua has decided that he does not want to sleep through the night anymore… We are working on trying different things to get that to happen. In the meantime, I am quite exhausted.
I have defiantly been taking a nap in the morning when he takes his morning nap.
I am really enjoying my MOPs group! It has been a lot of fun to get to know some other moms at our church. It has been very encouraging and uplifting. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it has been a pleasant surprise. The topics are always so helpful and encouraging. They are full of God’s truth.
Being a wife and mom is truly amazing. I am loving every minute of both of those responsibilities. Is it always easy? No. Is life perfect? No. Do I always do a great job? No. But God is so faithful, my husband is very gracious, and Joshua is just a bundle of joy.
I am so blessed!
Joshua will post soon with all this new accompishments. I don’t want to steal his thunder.
We might have some new pictures up by then too! (I am so not good at putting up new pics…)
I won’t give an update on Andre and maybe he will post one soon
(I love you, honey!)
Until next time…
-Trina
Hello friends,
Guess what?!?!?! I rolled over for the first time last night all by myself! Daddy and Mommy were so proud of me (I was proud of myself too ;-)). Life is going great. I still love eating.
I like Daddy and Mommy to rock me too. For some reason my gums hurt a lot and I started drooling all over everying. Mommy says it is because I am teething, whatever that means. I like to be held and talked to. I will smile at anyone who stops to talk to me (unless I am being grumpy, which doesn’t happen very often). I like to laugh when people are being silly. I wonder if grown-ups know how silly they look when they are talking to me, especially Daddy and Mommy? They use silly voices, stick out there tongues and make funny noises.
It makes me laugh so hard. I got a new swing! I love it!!! Mommy likes to put me in there when I am fussy while she is trying to cook dinner. I usually fall asleep in it. I almost forgot to tell you, at my last Doctor’s appointment I weighed 15lbs! Speaking of the Doctor, that guy likes to poke me, shine lights in my eyes and move me all around. I am still trying to decided if i like him, but Daddy and Mommy do, so I guess he is ok. Well, Mommy says it is time to go fix dinner, so that means swinging time for me. Yipee!
You all have a great day!
-Joshua
PS. Mommy entered my photo here, please go vote for me.
Hi Everyone,
Andre and I were just talking about this last night over dinner and how important it is that we, as Christians, vote. I got this email from American Family Association and wanted to pass it on.
-Katrina
Please vote! Our children’s future depends on it!
October 15, 2008
Dear Katrina,
In my 70 years, I have never seen an election where coverage was so one-sided and biased or where censorship by the liberal media was so widely practiced and where media coverage was so slanted as I have seen in this election process. Their plan is working. The only chance conservatives have is to make sure they care enough to vote.
If the liberals win the upcoming election, America as we have known it will no longer exist. This country that we love, founded on Judeo-Christian values, will cease to exist and will be replaced by a secular state hostile to Christianity. This “city set on a hill” which our forefathers founded, will go dark. The damage will be deep and long lasting. It cannot be turned around in the next election, or the one after that, or by any election in the future. The damage will be permanent. That is why it is so important for you to vote and to encourage friends and family to vote. This is one election where your vote really counts.
| Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon, |
On September 22nd, 2007 I was united in marriage with the most beautiful woman in the world. In the months previous, I had grown to love, respect, and cherish her more then I ever thought possible.
Now, a year later I am looking back over the most incredible year of my life. I am so honored, so blessed to be married to Katrina. She is the epitamy of the Proverbs 31 wife, a woman committed to God and her family and full of life. She is the sweetest and most loving wife a guy could ask for. To say our first year of marriage has been wonderful would be an understatement. It has had many adventures, a few challenges, and an overwhelming number of wonderful times, I could not be more blessed.
To my beautiful wife, I love you. You are a joy, and a treasure. I am so glad to be married to you, and so grateful for your friendship and companionship. I look forward to many more years together. I love you!
-Andre
Hello everyone!
Mommy put some new pictures up of me here! We had a photo shoot and it was a lot of fun!
She can be so silly sometimes and it makes me laugh! I am just growing so much and learning new things everyday. It was so good to see Grandpa and Grammy a few weeks ago and I am so excited about seeing Paps, NaNa and Auntie Katie on Sunday! Well, I am going to go back to talking and cooing at my toys. The are so much fun!
So, enjoy the pictures and we will talk again soon!

my two guys snoozing
What has been happening in my life? I am enjoying being a wife and mom so so much! I love it! Andre is an amazing husband and Joshua is such a sweet little guy. There are adjustments involved in being a mom like all changes, but they are worth it.
I am going to be a part of the MOPS program at our church this year. I am really looking forward to that. I think it will be good to get to know other stay at home moms in our church.
It seems things have been so busy lately. We went to PA last weekend (first overnight trip for Joshua) to surprise a good friend who is in the army and fixing to be deployed. It was a lot of fun and Joshua did great! He was very popular.
Dad, Mom and Katie are coming next week for several days! I can’t wait to see them! It will be so so good. I think there is a beach trip planned in there somewhere! Yay!
Mostly I am just going about day to day doing homemaker things. Some days I look back and think “what did I accomplish today?”
Time is flying. I can’t believe how big Joshua is getting. He really likes to smile. He started laughing at us as well. There is nothing as contagious as a baby’s laugh. You just have to laugh with them.
He decided he does like baths now, splashing in the water is fun. He is trying to roll over, but hasn’t figured that one out yet. He is so cute!
So that seems to be my life right now and I am loving it! God is so so good to us!
Until next time,
-trina
I have been so busy growing that I haven’t had time to write anything!!! Lets see, I am now smiling at anyone who will talk to me and even sometimes when they don’t talk to me! When I was at the Doctor’s a week and a half ago, I weighed 11lbs 2oz! I had to get bigger diapers this week cause I had outgrown mine. I thought Mommy was going to cry.
It was a little hard to adjust to just having Mommy here after all my wonderful adoring fans left. I like being held a lot!
Mommy and I get along fine though. She likes to play with me. I look forward everyday until when Daddy gets home! He is so funny!
We like sticking our tongues out at each other. Like this
My nursery is all set up minus the crib (as soon as Mommy decides which one she wants, we will get that). I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about rearranging everything again…
Well, I am falling asleep while we talk. I think it is nap time! I will let you see my muscles though and how big they are (I like showing them off!).
And here is me being sweet as always!
*YAWN*
Bye Bye!

So, my gifting is NOT in finances. Accounting is a nightmare for me. I spent some time last weekend with a buddy working on his MBA “Accounting Principals” homework and it blew my mind. However, I found the most amazing tool today. www.mint.com Its an amazing budgeting and tracking site. It syncs (securely) with your bank and tells you all about where your money goes! It is brilliantly designed, beautifully crafted, and incredibly helpful. Best of all, its free! Check it out… www.mint.com
