Hi Everyone!

Wow. I have not posted on here since the new year post… I am kinda behind.  Lets catch up. An abbreviated version:

We had a wonderful visit with Andre’s parents, brother and both sets of his grandparents in March.

Joshua started crawling somewhere during this time.

In April Joshua and I went to NM for a visit to my family. We had a great time! Aprill also came to see us! :)

May was really busy. We had quite a bit of company and just a good time.  We had a great time celebrating Andre’s birthday! :)

In June Joshua turned 1! We had a party for him and he loved the cake!  I have pics somewhere that I will upload soon.

July included another visit to NM to celebrate the 4th, my dad’s 50th b-day, church camp and the Shaw family reunion! It was super packed but so much fun!

The first week of August was the sadest week of the year for us. Our very dear friend (more like a sister to Andre and I and Aunt to Joshua) moved away. It was very hard. We know that it was God’s plan and wish her the best, but she sure is missed!!! On to a better note, Tyler came to see us and hung out for about 5 days. Andre was in a good friend’s wedding in DC. Joshua’s two top front teeth came in. We celebrated my last birthday in the 20s (I feel old just saying that :-P ).

JOSHUA STARTED WALKING!!! :)

*takes a breath*

Ok now we are caught up! :)

September is going well (all 6 days so far) :) We are looking forward to a trip to Maine later in the month to see Andre’s parents and family.  Josh is really working on that walking thing. :) He still loves books and his favorite toys are his cars, ball and stackable cups. He jabbers all the time, sometimes we can understand him, but most of the time not. :) As I right this he is reading a book to himself.  It is really cute! His favorite foods are bananas, pasta of any kind, goldfish, graham crackers, green beans, chicken and potatoes. He loves chick-fil-a, not that he has a choice, seeing as how his mom fed him a lot of it before he was born. :)  He really loves to eat and gets very excited about his food. :)

Andre’s job has changed a lot. I will let him tell you about that. :)

I am still staying busy at home. I am more than likely going to start babysitting a little girl (some friends of ours) two afternoons a week. Her name is Lucy and she is adorable. I am looking forward to MOPS starting back up in a couple of weeks.

Ok, I am going to sign off, but before I do, I put up new pictures from the last 4 months at http://picasaweb.google.com/erdnapc. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone,

Andre and I were just talking about this last night over dinner and how important it is that we, as Christians, vote. I got this email from American Family Association and wanted to pass it on. :-)

Please vote! Our children’s future depends on it!

October 15, 2008

Dear Katrina,

In my 70 years, I have never seen an election where coverage was so one-sided and biased or where censorship by the liberal media was so widely practiced and where media coverage was so slanted as I have seen in this election process. Their plan is working. The only chance conservatives have is to make sure they care enough to vote.

If the liberals win the upcoming election, America as we have known it will no longer exist. This country that we love, founded on Judeo-Christian values, will cease to exist and will be replaced by a secular state hostile to Christianity. This “city set on a hill” which our forefathers founded, will go dark. The damage will be deep and long lasting. It cannot be turned around in the next election, or the one after that, or by any election in the future. The damage will be permanent. That is why it is so important for you to vote and to encourage friends and family to vote. This is one election where your vote really counts.

Sincerely,

Don
